PYG: I wanted to become a painter since I was about 9 years old, and I always drew something with a pencil. I pursued my passion by entering an art college

PYG: The profound meaning of art is nature. It’s something that exists in any environment and at any time.

PYG: This is an award-winning work at the South Korean Art Exhibition.
Interview: It would be interesting to know the creative process behind your paintings. Could you tell us how they come to life?
PYG: It is born from the attraction between me and the subject. When the attraction intensifies, various elements like color and spatial division come into play, resulting in the creation of the artwork. Attraction is the tension before the merging of positive and negative poles.
Interview: What messages or emotions do you seek to convey through your work?
PYG: Expressing the attraction between myself and the subject is how I convey the message or emotions I want to convey, and it’s beautiful when my expression is natural.
Interview: Do the colors you choose for your pieces have a connection to your personal emotions or moods?
PYG: The colors I express are created by the attraction between me and the subject.
Interview: How do you think the role of a painter has changed in the contemporary context?
PYG: I believe the role of an artist in a modern context is like a mirror that allows me to reflect on myself
