About him

Younggi Park was born in Seoul on August 2, 1967.

In 1993, Park graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at the Hansung University’s College of Fine Arts.

In 1994, he received his first international recognition as an artist and was invited to exhibit his works in New York.

In 1995, Park garnered further recognition in three significant art competitions in Korea, including the prestigious Grand Art Exhibition of Korea. He was appreciated for his artistic contributions and talent.

Throughout his career, Park has participated in major exhibitions and cultural events both in Korea and abroad. In 1995, he was invited as an international artist to the Korea Modern Art Exhibition in New York.

From 2004 to 2019, Park enriched his artistic repertoire as a member of the piri flute section at the West Coast Punguhje in Incheon, participating in various events and performances.

In 2007, Park’s works gained international attention when they were exhibited at the “Ritual of Boats” exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Paris, France. That same year, he also took part in the “Commemorative Ritual of Paik Nam-Jun” in Seoul, solidifying his presence in the Korean art scene.

Park’s artistic contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2010, he participated in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Korean Cultural Center in France, highlighting his impact on Korean art and culture.

He currently resides in Seoul, where he exclusively dedicates himself to painting and solo exhibitions. His creative output continues to captivate audiences, establishing him as one of the most promising talents in contemporary art.
